Chelsea is expected to meet with Julian Nagelsmann for eye to eye talks this week, Julian Nagelsmann was relieved of his position as Bayern Munich head coach in February and was replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
Julian Nagelsmann and Luiz Enrique are the major Front-runner for Chelsea's head coach but Chelsea board is demented on which one to go with.
As Chelsea weigh both options,Chelsea might go with the German, who is currently 35 years old.
Julian Nagelsmann was appointed as Bayern Munich head coach in the summer 2021 and was sacked in February 2023. During his stay at Bayern, Julian won the German tile in his first season as well as German Super Cup.
While Nagelsmann is well known to many in the Chelsea hierarchy-directors Chris Vivell and Laurence Stewart worked with him at RB Leipzig both Stewart and his co-sporting director Paul winstanley flew to Germany at the end of last week to hold talks with the former Bayern Munich boss.
Conversation is still ongoing between Chelsea and Bayern to try to resolve that situation, and that could be significant if Chelsea decide Nagelsman is the manager they want next. Bayern may be due compensation , depending on when and if their former manager takes over at stamford Bridge.
Nagelsman is one of a number of possible candidates Chelsea are considering for the summer, including Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino and Ruben Amorim. According to speculation, Julian might take charge of the team in next season as Chelsea has no plan to cut short Frank Lampard's reign as the interim manager for the rest of the season.
