Chelsea Manager News-Mauricio Pochettino Managerial Life History.

 


     Mauricio Roberto Pochettino Trossero popularly known as Mauricio Pochettino is an Argentina professional manager and former player.

Mauricio Pochettino was born on 2nd March, 1972. He played as a central  defender and began his career in 1989 with primera Division club Newell's Old Boys, winning a league title and finishing as runner-up in the 1992 Copa Libertadores.  

In 2001, he joined Ligue 1 club Paris Saint German, and had a stint with  Bordeaux, before returning to Espanyol in 2004, Winning another Copa del Rey in 2006 and He finally retired at age 34 in 2006.

After retiring, the Argentine began is managerial career at Espanyol in 2009,But Due to poor management and his inability to build the team, He was sacked in 2012.

After his departure from Espanyol, He was appointed by a Premier League club Southampton, mentoring them to finish in their highest position in premier league table that season.

The 51 years old left Southampton to Tottenham Hotspur in 2014 and finished as League runner up in 2016-2017 season.


Mauricio Pochettino won a trophy in PSG

  Mauricio was sacked from Tottenham in 2021 due to the poor start to the season that left them in 14th place.

After Tottenham departure,The Argentine joined Paris Saint Germain in 2021, where he won the Ligue 1 title and coupe de France. despite the trophy he was sacked the following year and he has been out of Managerial job till now. As he looks forward to become Chelsea Manager in the summer.
